No Bake 3 Ingredient Bars ( Week 12 of 52 ) #project52

Soooo, right now I'm on a no sugar/ flour challenge and I was beyond excited to find this recipe on Pinterest. This could possibly be a one bowl recipe. However, opted combine the honey and peanut butter on the stove.

( peanut butter & honey)

( oats)

I opted to use parchment paper and I did not have to add any oil or butter to assist with nonsticking.

( sorry for the blurry pic)

I used a pizza cutter to cut these pretty large square because I'm pretty greedy.

Rule of Thirds (Week 11 of 52)

Playing around with the Rule of Thirds...

While minding my business, my sister called me to see if I wanted to go to one of our favorite consignment stores together. Me trying not to be an impulse shopper I decided to pass on the invite…So of cause naturally I was on the phone with her the entire time she was shopping. She stated that she came across these super cute Prada boots for toddlers. I asked her to text me a picture. What I didn’t notice at the time was she also texted me pictures of two fur coats. One coat being $100 and the other being $40. I immediately called her and asked if she could purchase the $40 coat and I would repay her (I have been searching for a cheap fur coat)... Of course I realized that I had a coupon to take an additional 15% off the total picture, she actually had the same coupon as well and offered to use hers. I paid a whopping $41 dollars for this gorgeous brownness coat of above and since Mother Nature is doing her thing we still haven’t been formally introduced to spring yet this year. I may get a couple of wears out of this bad boy until spring decides to show her face.

Green ( week 10 of 52)

This morning was one of those mornings where I wanted my food to get in my belly now! I was in the mood for waffles or pancakes. However, didn't feel like running to the store for milk. I opted to eat something that I had all of the ingredients at on hand.

I decided to with a veggie omelette. What better way to start my morning off? Mushrooms, red onions, tomatoes, cheese and green peppers.

I started off by sautéing everything except for the tomatoes and of course the cheese on medium heat. I used four eggs and waited for the veggies to finish sautéing and whisked the eggs in a bowl and added a dash of sea salt to the eggs.  I added the eggs to the mixture, and added the tomatoes and cheese once the omelette was almost finished cooking.

Disclaimer: I'm not the best at making the perfect omelette. However, I do what works best for me.

In My Cup #project52 (week 9 of 52)

Monday-Friday I try to start my morning off with a nice hot cup of green tea with a little cream and sugar. I typically don’t get a chance to eat breakfast before starting my day. So this cup gives me the little boost I need to keep going.

Homemade Glazed Donuts

I've always wanted to make homemade donuts. However, the lazy girl in me never decided to give it a try until last weekend. I had everything on hand except for unsalted butter (and a donut cutter) and I was super excited. The only problem was that I forgot the dough had to rest for several hours in my case overnight.

( I did not have a donut cutter, so I used a mug and a piping bag tip)

The next morning I was super excited to get started and trying out the donuts. I was even more excited that the donuts actually raised a little in my drafty house.

I decided to not do a step by step picture post seeing how the recipe I used included all of this awesomeness here.

I was super excited about how fluffy the donuts came out and trust me I ate a good amount too. I plain on trying the copycat Krisy Kreme recipe soon.

Anywho, have you tried any new recipes lately?

From Where I Stand ( Week 8 of 52) #project52 #thrifting

Yesterday while running errands I decided to stop by a nearby Salvation Army. With no “wish list” in mind, I really was checking out what they have at this particular store.  I noticed that this store really carries a lot of furniture. Pretty good quality furniture at that, seeing how our vegan leather sofas are a hot mess, these last couple of weeks  I have been on the lookout for a sofa until the meantime of purchasing new ones. However, that has changed up until me finding sofa slip covers 70% off at Target over the weekend.

Any who, While at the store. The beauties below caught my eye.

This coffee table came as a set and was in pretty good condition.

I think I'm in love with this sofa. It's pretty huge. I could picture myself matching it with decorative chairs.

This wicker dresser was a set. It reminded me of something I could find at my local Pier 1 or Pottery Barn.

Unfortunately for me, I could not get that middle draw to go completely in. I could see myself painting this dresser set and changing the hardware

A Special Day...

It’s mesmerizing having someone that you’re madly in love with. Someone that you look forward to seeing, I still blush when he pulls up in front of the house. As if he’s picking me up for our first date, and as another year passes by, I sit back and wonder how I can become a better person. I noticed that I've changed, I noticed he’s changed. I noticed we have changed for the better. No, we don’t live that fairy tale life (who wants that perfect love story anyway?). However, it’s perfect for us.

Happy Anniversary Mister!!
